BCI is an experienced investor in the performing loan and distressed markets. BCI relies on an extensive network of direct bank relationships to source investment opportunities.

BCI has been an active buyer primarily focused within the mid-Atlantic and historical acquisitions of mortgage loans ranging from $500,000 to $15 million, and pools of up to $50 million. Property types of interest include Multi-Family, Retail, Industrial, Office, and Residential Development.

BCI also seeks to purchase commercial properties where it can create value through repositioning, lease rollover, renovation, use conversion, or environmental remediation. In addition to its acquisition and management activities, the firm is an active mezzanine and bridge lender. BCI provides financing in situations where there is sufficient collateral but timing or other factors do not permit the borrowers to obtain institutional financing.

BCI funds its acquisitions through a combination of internal equity, syndicated private equity, and conventional bank debt. The firm pursues a buy and hold strategy and is equipped to service the loans it acquires as well as to manage real estate acquisitions.
